Art as Catharsis is a 30-minute documentary that explores the positive effects of various art forms through a range of people. Directed by Amber Bardell, the film has a striking multi-media aesthetic that combines animation, styled scenes, and interviews. These elements all have equal importance and form a piece that is also cathartic for the director in her debut.

"I made Art as Catharsis to share my passion with viewers and spread the idea that creative processes can be constructive for everyone in some way.
My aim is to inspire people to create through the stories of the wonderful people in the film.
It was also really powerful for me to connect with them and challenge myself to be a part of the film since I hate talking on camera"
- Amber, Director
